The day begins with an espresso to energize you for the adventure ahead. The walking tour includes major sights of Nice while introducing you to the traditional Niçoise tarts, its famous Socca, fresh fruit, oysters, Riviera wine, and more. A unique feature of this tour is that it incorporates a tram ride. This allows you to cover more ground, cleverly incorporating Nice’s tram system so that guests can experience both local culture and “must-see” sites like Square Massena and Place Garibaldi.

A unique feature of the tour is that guests can experience a local food market. This is an authentic “off-the beaten-path” market which offers a different cultural experience than the more touristic Cours Saleya. Your guide transforms a corner of the market into a beautiful picnic with fresh tomatoes, baguette, cheeses, charcuterie, pissaladière, and more. The guides have cultivated relationships with the best vendors to the benefit of the group, with a highlight being a stop to taste fresh oysters.

In Place Garibaldi, a beautiful and generous lunch awaits the group at the restaurant La Maïoun. Guests can enjoy more Riviera wine along with several French dishes local to the region. By this point in the tour, the group has become acquainted and the experience is like enjoying a delicious lunch among friends!

The tour ends where it began in the Old Town with everyone was full and satisfied from new knowledge and food, but there is always room for gelato! This is a walking tour, so no need for guilt, the last treat is well-earned!
