El Encanto, A Belmond Hotel

For guests and locals alike, El Encanto offers special dining experiences including Bossa Nova Brunch, sunset dinners on the Terrace, artisanal picnic baskets, and Botanica Afternoon Tea. The Botanica Afternoon Tea transports you to the elegant English tradition with its delicate sandwiches and pastries served on a 3-tiered stand. The delicate pastries are works of art and even each pomegranate seed seemed perfectly placed. One of the many delights of the Botanica Afternoon Tea is the featured Ojai-based tea brand Magic Hour. Each tea was intentionally designed for an astrological sign and indicates health & wellness benefits. El Encanto will soon open a Tea Salon onsite near the spa. The Tea Salon has a calm and welcoming ambience and guests may feel they’ve discovered a retreat within the retreat.
Along with its reputation as a luxury getaway, El Encanto is beloved within the Santa Barbara community. Santa Barbara locals may be familiar with Gin & Jazz nights hosted in El Encanto’s Lounge each Thursday. Additionally, El Encanto holds “Lunch with an Author” featuring a notable author and includes a three-course lunch, copy of the book, and more. El Encanto also endears itself to the local community with its commitment to sustainability. The hotel uses eco-friendly products, and local meats and produce are sourced for the restaurant. In 2019, El Encanto accomplished their goal of zero waste, defined by 90% landfill diversion.
El Encanto is an ideal location for wellness retreats. Next month, April 2-5, 2024, El Encanto is hosting a wellness week titled Harmony of the Senses. Each day is filled with experiences and workshops including yoga, cacao ceremonies, sound baths, mandala readings, and more. The offerings of the wellness week are also available á la carte.
